About Welco, the alert texting service from Monocubed

Why Welco exists
Most plants, servers and buildings already send an email when something goes wrong. The trouble is that nobody reads email at 3 a.m., when a pump fails or a server goes down.
The alarm finds a person
The text goes to whoever looks after that system tonight, not to a mailbox read next morning.
Your system stays as it is
If it can send an email, it can send alerts through Welco. Nothing new runs on your servers or your control network.
One short text to read
The site, the fault and the time, without the banners and footers of the original email.
What Welco does
Welco takes those alert emails and sends them as short texts to the people who look after the system. There is no software or hardware to install.
How Welco works walks through the four steps, and our anonymized case studies show them at real sites in the US.
Alerts only, by design
Welco is an alert texting service, not a marketing tool. We built it for one job, and we keep it that way on purpose.
Confirmed staff only
Texts go only to staff whose phones have confirmed with YES.
No marketing, ever
No sales texts and no texting the public. Our acceptable use policy spells this out.
Alerts-only numbers
Our numbers are never shared with marketing senders.
Every business verified
Each business is checked before it can send. See how opt-in works for the full process.
Who Welco is for
Welco is for the people who get the call when a system fails. Each of them already has a system that emails when something breaks. Other teams can start from alert texts by industry.
What Welco is not
Saying what we leave out helps you judge whether Welco fits. These are the jobs Welco does not try to do.
Not a marketing or reminder tool
Welco never sends sales texts or newsletters, and the people it texts are your own staff.
Not an incident management suite
There are no escalation chains or rotation schedules. If you need those, our alert tool comparisons say which tools have them.
Not an app or a phone dialer
Staff get regular texts on the cellphone they already carry. Welco does not place voice calls.
Not a replacement for 911
Welco is not a replacement for code-required fire alarm monitoring or emergency services.
Where Welco works today
Welco texts mobile numbers in Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom and the Netherlands today. Landlines can't receive texts. All prices are in US dollars (USD). Customers in Canada pay in US dollars too.
Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Germany, France and Spain are in early access. Their country sites say so until sending works there. We would rather say not yet than promise a text that can't arrive.
