Welco SMS terms: the Welco Alerts text program

Welco Alerts is the text message program operated by Monocubed, Inc. It sends system alerts to staff phones that confirmed with YES. Message frequency varies by alerts. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.

Program name and who runs it

The program is called Welco Alerts. It is operated by Monocubed, Inc, 651 North Broad Street, Suite 206, Middletown, Delaware 19709, United States. In these SMS terms, "we" and "us" mean Monocubed, Inc, and "you" means the person who receives Welco Alerts texts.

What texts you will receive

Welco Alerts texts are system alerts. A business that uses Welco connects its own equipment and software, and Welco turns their alert emails into texts for the staff who look after them.

Typical texts report an alarm at a plant or pump station, a server or network outage, a building or door alarm, a temperature reading out of range, or a new voicemail on an urgent line. Some texts include a short link to open a voicemail, photo or PDF. Mobile networks require each text to name its sender and give the opt-out words. So every text starts with "Welco:" and ends with "Reply STOP to opt out."

Welco Alerts never sends marketing, advertising or sales messages. It is not used for spam, and no business may use it to promote anything.

How you join

A business invites you to get its alerts. You open your own join page, enter your mobile number and tick the consent box yourself. You then get one confirmation text that names the business and asks you to reply YES. You receive alerts only after you reply YES.

The person who creates a Welco account can also choose to receive alerts by ticking an optional box on the sign-up form. The box is not required to use Welco. The full process, with the exact wording, is on our SMS compliance page.

How often you will get texts

Message frequency varies by alerts. You get a text when a system you are set up for raises an alert. That might mean no texts for weeks, or several in an hour during an outage.

What it costs you

Msg & data rates may apply. Welco does not charge you for receiving alerts. Your mobile carrier may charge for texts and data under your phone plan.

How to stop texts

Reply STOP to any Welco Alerts text to opt out. After that, we send no more alerts to your number, and no business can turn them back on for you.

STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT, REVOKE and OPTOUT work the same as STOP. Our stop words page lists every reply word.

If you change your mind later, reply START to the same number to join again, or ask the business for a new invite.

How to get help

Reply HELP to any Welco Alerts text for help. You can also email our support team at hello@welco.ai, or use our contact page.

Where Welco Alerts works

Welco Alerts sends to mobile numbers in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and the Netherlands. Landlines can't receive texts. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Delivery is not assured

We work to deliver every alert, but texts can be delayed or lost for reasons outside our control. Examples include a phone that is off or out of coverage, carrier filtering, or a network outage. Do not rely on Welco Alerts as your only way to learn about an emergency. Our delivery rates disclosure explains the limits.

Welco is not a replacement for code-required fire alarm monitoring or emergency services.

If you get a text you did not ask for

Reply STOP first, so nothing else reaches your phone. Then tell us at hello@welco.ai with the date and the text. We look into every report, and a business that breaks our rules gets a written warning or loses its account.

Your phone number and privacy

SMS opt-in and phone numbers collected for SMS purposes will not be shared with any third party or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

We keep a record of your number, the date you joined and any YES, STOP or START reply for 4 years, to show that you agreed. Our privacy policy explains what else we collect, how we use it and how long we keep it.

Changes to these SMS terms

We may update these SMS terms. The date at the top of this page shows the latest version. If you keep receiving Welco Alerts texts after a change, the updated terms apply. You can reply STOP at any time. Our general terms of service and acceptable use policy also apply to businesses using Welco.

Reply STOP to any Welco Alerts text. Welco sends one last reply and then nothing more to your number, from any business. Words like QUIT or UNSUBSCRIBE work the same way.

Yes. Reply START to the same number, or ask the business for a fresh invite and join again from your own join page. Nobody else can turn texts back on for you.

Is there a fee to receive Welco Alerts?

Welco charges you nothing. Msg & data rates may apply under your own mobile plan.
